We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Social Sciences Teacher to work with one of a Secondary Academy in the Salford area from September 2025. This is a full-time, temporary position offers an exciting opportunity to inspire and educate students in subjects such as Sociology, Psychology, and Politics.
Key Responsibilities

Deliver engaging and high-quality lessons in Social Sciences across Key Stages 3 and 4.

Develop and implement effective schemes of work and lesson plans.

Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback.

Contribute to the development of the Social Sciences curriculum.

Participate in departmental meetings and school events.

Support the pastoral care and well-being of students.
Person Specification
Essential:
-
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.

Degree in a relevant Social Sciences subject.

Experience teaching Social Sciences at secondary level.

Strong classroom management skills.

Commitment to inclusive education and student development.
Desirable:

Experience in a similar teaching role within a secondary academy setting.

Ability to contribute to extracurricular activities related to Social Sciences.
Alongside the staff you will be responsible for safeguarding and protecting the welfare of children and young people.
