Working Pattern: Monday to Friday, Term Time Only
Salary: £25,000–£26,000 (Actual)
Are you an experienced HLTA with a passion for supporting young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs? We are seeking a dedicated and resilient Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join a specialist secondary setting in Warrington from September.
About the Role
In this rewarding position, you will:
- Lead small-group interventions and support pupils with SEMH needs.
- Deliver full class cover when required, using pre‑planned work provided by teaching staff.
- Work collaboratively with the wider team to promote engagement, progress, and positive behaviour.
- Play an important role in creating a supportive, structured, and nurturing learning environment.
This is a temp-to-perm opportunity, offering long‑term stability for the right candidate.
What We’re Looking For
Essential:
- Relevant experience supporting children or young people with SEMH or similar additional needs.
- Strong behaviour management skills and a calm, empathetic approach.
- Ability to deliver learning confidently to small groups and full classes.
Ideal Qualifications:
- HLTA status or equivalent Level 4 qualification.
- Experience in a secondary or alternative provision environment.
