Are you an experienced HLTA with a passion for supporting young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs? We are seeking a dedicated and resilient Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join a specialist secondary setting in Warrington from September.

About the Role

In this rewarding position, you will:

• Lead small-group interventions and support pupils with SEMH needs.
• Deliver full class cover when required, using pre‑planned work provided by teaching staff.
• Work collaboratively with the wider team to promote engagement, progress, and positive behaviour.
• Play an important role in creating a supportive, structured, and nurturing learning environment.

This is a temp-to-perm opportunity, offering long‑term stability for the right candidate.

What We’re Looking For

Essential:

• Relevant experience supporting children or young people with SEMH or similar additional needs.
• Strong behaviour management skills and a calm, empathetic approach.
• Ability to deliver learning confidently to small groups and full classes.

Ideal Qualifications:

• HLTA status or equivalent Level 4 qualification.
• Experience in a secondary or alternative provision environment.
