Are you passionate about outdoor education and empowering children to connect with nature? Chalk Education  is seeking a motivated and skilled Forest School Leader to develop and lead in a primary school in the Bolton area.

As Forest School Leader, you will:

• Plan, organise, and lead Forest School sessions for children across different age groups

• Foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating outdoor learning environment

• Encourage children’s curiosity, independence, and resilience through nature-based activities

• Maintain health and safety standards and risk assessments appropriate to the outdoor environment

• Work collaboratively with teaching staff and parents to integrate Forest School learning into the broader curriculum

• Manage resources and maintain the outdoor learning area

• Promote Forest School ethos and benefits within the school community

• Holds a recognised Forest School Leader qualification (Level 3 or equivalent)

• Has experience planning and delivering Forest School or outdoor learning sessions

• Is passionate about outdoor education and child development

• Has excellent communication, organisation, and behaviour management skills

• Is confident in managing risks in outdoor environments

• Can work independently and as part of a team

• Has a current first aid qualification (desirable but not essential)
