Description

Chalk Education is working in partnership with a specialist Alternative Provision in Warrington to recruit a dedicated and resilient English Teacher to join their team on a long term supply basis from September 2026.

This is a rewarding opportunity to make a genuine impact, supporting students who require a more tailored and nurturing approach to learning.

About the Role

You will be responsible for delivering engaging and differentiated English lessons to students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, helping them to build both academic skills and confidence in a supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver creative, accessible English lessons
  • Differentiate learning to meet individual student needs
  • Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils
  • Support students’ personal development as well as academic progress
  • Work closely with support staff and the wider team

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK – essential
  • Proven experience working with students with SEMH needs
  • Strong behaviour management skills
  • A patient, empathetic and resilient approach
  • Passion for supporting young people in alternative education settings
