Chalk Education is recruiting for a dedicated and resilient English Teacher to join a specialist SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) provision in Runcorn. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on young people who face significant challenges in their education.

Role Overview:

• Subject: English
• Location: Runcorn
• Daily Rate: £160+ per day, depending on experience and qualifications
• Type: Temporary, with potential long-term opportunities

This is a demanding role that requires patience, adaptability, and determination. You will be teaching students with very challenging behaviour, helping them to re-engage with learning, build confidence, and work towards meaningful outcomes.

What we’re looking for:

• Teaching qualifications such as PTLLS, QTTLS, QTS or equivalent
• Strong subject knowledge in English
• Experience working with young people with SEMH needs or in alternative provision
• The ability to set firm but supportive boundaries and manage challenging behaviour effectively
• A commitment to creating a positive, structured, and engaging learning environment
