A vibrant and culturally diverse Primary School in Haringey, N15, is seeking a compassionate and proactive Special Needs Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) to join their Early Years Team. The Role:

As a Special Needs Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with early years pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN), providing tailored support to help them thrive. The role involves one-to-one and small group support, assisting with daily activities, and ensuring the child’s emotional and physical well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide dedicated support to children with SEN, fostering their academic and personal development.
• Implement structured routines and maintain consistent boundaries to create a secure learning environment.
• Support children with toilet training, personal care, and mobility needs, including elements of manual handling when required.
• Work closely with teachers, therapists, and parents to ensure effective communication and continuity of care.
• Encourage independence and confidence through engaging activities that promote social, emotional, and cognitive growth.
• Ensure a safe and supportive environment, maintaining the highest standards of safeguarding and welfare.

What We’re Looking For:
Experience working with Early Years children and pupils with SEN.
Understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum.
Comfortable with personal care responsibilities, including toileting and hygiene support. Energetic, patient, and adaptable with a passion for supporting children with diverse needs.
Strong teamwork and communication skills to collaborate effectively with staff and parents.
