Are you an early years teaching assistant with experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN)?
A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Derby are looking for a dedicated practitioner to join their team on a long-term, full-time basis after half term.
About the Role
You’ll be supporting SEN pupils in Nursery and Reception, including pupils with:
· ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder)
· SLCN (Speech, Language & Communication Needs)
· MLD/SLD (Moderate to Severe Learning Difficulties)
Day-to-day, you’ll:
· Deliver engaging, play-based learning activities
· Provide 1:1 and small group support for children with additional needs
· Encourage communication, independence, and positive behaviour
· Assist with daily routines, including personal care where required
· Work closely with teachers, therapists, and parents to ensure every child thrives
What We’re Looking For
· Experience supporting children with SEN (nursery or care background welcome)
· A patient, proactive, and empathetic approach
· Commitment to long-term consistency and development

o References confirming suitability for role

o Enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service
