A vibrant, multi‑cultural primary school in Greenford, is looking for an exceptional Deputy Headteacher with SENCO responsibility to champion inclusive excellence and help steer the next phase of the school’s growth.

The role

Reporting to the Headteacher, you will:

  • Model outstanding practice – teach demonstrably great lessons that ignite a passion for learning.
  • Drive inclusion – shape and embed the school’s SEND strategy so every child, regardless of need or background, thrives.
  • Lead on SEND – own EHCP workflows, targeted interventions and multi‑agency collaboration (EPs, SaLT, OT, CAMHS).
  • Maximise Pupil Premium – design, deliver and evaluate evidence‑based initiatives that close gaps and raise attainment.
  • Upskill colleagues – deliver engaging CPD on adaptive pedagogy, universal design and SEND best practice.
  • Shape whole‑school strategy – use sharp data analysis to inform long‑term planning, self‑evaluation and improvement.

Candidate profile

  • Qualified teacher with a track record of outstanding primary teaching.
  • National Award for SEN Coordination (or willingness to gain it).
  • Proven leadership impact (e.g. phase leader, SENCO, AHT).
  • Expert knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice and EHCP processes.
  • Inspirational communicator who forges strong relationships with pupils, staff, families and external specialists.
  • Strategic thinker with the resilience and creativity to turn vision into reality.
