We are on the lookout for enthusiastic and dedicated Cover Supervisors with subject specialisms in Maths, Science, English, PE, Art, and Psychology to support schools in and around Tameside.

This is an amazing opportunity for those passionate about education and considering a future in teaching, or for students seeking part-time work while studying.

As a Cover Supervisor, you'll play a crucial role in supporting students' learning and maintaining a positive, engaging classroom atmosphere. You'll bring pre-planned lessons to life for classes of approximately 30 students, experiencing a dynamic and rewarding variety of teaching across Key Stages 3 and 4. We’re seeking caring individuals with a flexible teaching style and strong classroom management skills. In collaboration with school staff, you'll also be responsible for safeguarding and ensuring the well-being of children and young people.

Key Responsibilities:

· Supervise and manage classrooms in the absence of the regular teacher.

· Deliver pre-prepared lessons and ensure students remain focused and on task.

· Maintain a positive and orderly classroom environment.

· Provide support to students with their learning activities.

· Ensure the safety and well-being of all students.

· Assist with other duties as required, including administrative tasks and exam invigilation.

Requirements:

· Experience as a Teaching Assistant and/or Cover Supervisor

· A degree qualification (desirable but not essential)

· Solid subject knowledge, specializing in any core subject

· Fantastic behaviour management and communication skills

· A flexible, adaptable approach to teaching

· A positive and calm attitude
