Join a fantastic special school in Woking, where you’ll enjoy top-notch facilities, including vibrant therapy rooms, engaging sensory rooms, and expansive outdoor spaces. We support students aged 3-19 with a wide range of needs, from Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD) to Autism, Speech, Language, and Communication Needs (SLCN), as well as various medical conditions and challenging behaviours.
What You'll Do:
In this exciting permanent role, your days will be filled with variety and impact! You'll provide 1:1 support to students throughout their school day, jumping in to assist in the classroom and making sure lunch and break times are enjoyable. Collaborating closely with the class teacher, you’ll help run engaging activities and contribute to a lively, safe, and supportive learning environment. Plus, you'll play a key role in safeguarding and promoting the well-being of the students, ensuring they feel both cared for and secure. What We’re Looking For:
- Experience supporting young people with SEND and complex needs
- Confidence and comfort in delivering personal care
- Excellent communication skills (experience with alternative communication techniques is a bonus!)
- Strong behaviour management abilities
- A caring, positive attitude and a flexible approach
Additional Requirements:
- References confirming suitability for the role
- Commitment to safeguarding
- Enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service or a willingness to apply for one
- Eligibility to work in the UK
