halk Education is seeking a compassionate, patient, and reliable 1:1 tutor to support a SEN secondary-aged pupil in Cheshire East.
We are looking for an experienced professional with at least two years’ relevant experience within UK education settings, who has a strong understanding of the structure, expectations, and support strategies used in UK schools or alternative provision.
This role would suit someone who can provide a calm, structured, and nurturing learning environment, offering clear boundaries while helping a young person feel safe, engaged, and motivated. You will deliver personalised learning sessions that build confidence, encourage independence, and support positive educational outcomes.
Key Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years’ UK-based experience supporting young people with additional needs
- Full-time availability: Monday to Friday, 10:00am–3:00pm
- A full UK driving licence with access to a vehicle (travel between sites may be required)
- Relevant qualifications such as QTS, PTTLS, QTTLS, or equivalent
- Experience working with ASD, SEMH, or within alternative provision (desirable)
- A creative, flexible approach to learning with the ability to adapt to individual needs
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive, trusting relationships
