A prominent specialist school in Sheffield dedicated to serving children and young people with Autism, Speech and Language disorders, moderate to severe learning disabilities, and associated behavioural challenges, is actively seeking a proactive Complex Needs Assistant to join their team. In this role, you will collaborate with the class team to foster student progress toward academic success and EHCP objectives.

Your duties will include assisting with educational activities, monitoring student progress, implementing therapy-led programs, managing challenging behaviours, and ensuring the welfare of students. You'll also engage in ongoing self-development through performance reviews and training opportunities.

Applicants should have experience supporting SEND, whether personally or professionally, as consistency is vital for the well-being of SEND children, making reliability essential. It's necessary to possess an Enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service, and if assistance is required with the application process, we're here to help. Providing references demonstrating suitability for the role and a commitment to safeguarding principles are also required. Additionally, applicants must be eligible to work in the UK.
