Are you an experienced SEN TA/Behaviour Mentor who specialises in working with challenging behaviours?

Are you passionate about supporting young people in an inclusive way and looking for a new challenge?

Chalk are recruiting for this role to start asap - the post is Mon - Fri, 8.30 -3.30pm on a long term basis .

Job Description

This role will involve working with pupils who display challenging behaviours, so experience of this and an understanding of a range of SEND is helpful, as well as knowledge of skills such as de-esculation. The role will mainly be a 1:1 basis with a child struggling with anxiety.

This role will suit a positive mentor who is resilient and flexible. The school provides excellent facilities and services. You will work closely with the class teacher assisting with lessons and activities, whilst providing a happy and safe learning environment for the pupils

To be considered for this Specialist TA Behaviour/Mentor role you will need:

· Experience supporting young people with SEMH/Challenging behaviour

· Ideal would be De-escalation / positive handling training

· A positive attitude and flexible approach

Additional requirements:

o References confirming suitability for role

o Enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service

o Eligibility to work in the UK
