Chalk education is currently looking for a Behaviour Lead to support a primary school in the Bolton area. You will play a pivotal role in shaping and implementing our whole-school behaviour strategy. You will work closely with staff, pupils, and families to promote positive behaviour, support emotional wellbeing, and ensure that every child feels safe, respected, and ready to learn.

Responsibilities

• Develop and lead the school’s behaviour policy and strategy
• Support staff with behaviour management techniques and interventions
• Monitor behaviour trends and implement targeted support plans
• Lead restorative practices and conflict resolution sessions
• Work with SENCO and pastoral teams to support pupils with additional needs
• Liaise with parents/carers and external agencies where appropriate
• Deliver staff training and CPD on behaviour and wellbeing
• Champion a culture of respect, empathy, and inclusion across the school

We’re looking for someone who is:

• Passionate about child development and wellbeing
• Experienced in behaviour management within a school setting
• Skilled in de-escalation, restorative approaches, and trauma-informed practice
• A confident communicator and empathetic listener
• Able to build strong relationships with pupils, staff, and families
• Committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children

Experience

• Relevant qualification in education, psychology, or child development (desirable)
• Experience working in a primary school or similar educational setting
• Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and SEND support
