Chalk Education is recruiting for a SEN Teaching Assistant who is wanting to take the next step to start in September in a school in Northwich - the post is Mon - Fri, 8.30-3.30pm.
Job Description
This role will involve supporting SEND children in the classroom as well as at lunch and break times.
You will work closely with the class teacher supporting the children across various activities, while providing a happy and safe learning environment, Whilst also teaching small groups.
This role will suit a positive mentor who is resilient and flexible. The school provides excellent facilities and services. You will work closely with the class teacher assisting with lessons and activities while providing a happy and safe learning environment for the pupils
To be considered for this Behaviour Mentor role you will need:
- 2 years experience supporting young people with ASD/SEMH/Challenging behaviour
- Ideally would be De-escalation / positive handling training
- A positive attitude and flexible approach
Additional requirements:
- References confirming suitability for role
- Enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service
- Eligibility to work in the UK
