About the Role:
Chalk Education is seeking a dedicated and empathetic Male Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join a specialist SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) school in Merseyside.
This position is aimed at male applicants to provide positive male role models for students, supporting their academic, social, and emotional development in a nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support male students with SEMH needs across classroom and structured learning settings.
- Deliver and assist with individual and group interventions tailored to students’ unique learning and emotional needs.
- Promote positive behaviour and emotional regulation through guidance and encouragement.
- Work collaboratively with teaching staff to deliver personalised learning plans.
- Observe, monitor, and record student progress, providing feedback to relevant team members.
The Ideal Candidate:
- A positive male role model with experience working with children or young people.
- Calm, patient, and understanding, with a genuine passion for supporting student development.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Adaptable, resilient, and confident in managing challenging behaviour.
- Experience supporting learners with SEMH needs (desirable).
