Chalk are recruiting for this SEND Teaching Assistant position which is a long term, full time placement starting immediately and is the perfect opportunity to join a dynamic Primary School in the Benfleet area.

Job Description

This role will involve supporting students aged 3-19 with special educational needs, such as severe or profound multiple learning difficulties. You will be instrumental in helping students gain confidence, develop essential life skills, and realise their full potential.

Alongside the staff you will be responsible for safeguarding and protecting the welfare of children and young people.

The school is a community special school for learners between 3 and 19 years of age. It is a co-educational for learners with severe or profound and multiple learning difficulties, ASD and physical and/or sensory impairments.

To be considered for this role you will need:

• Relevant SEN training and/or qualification(s)
• Experience supporting children with additional needs
• Behaviour Management
• Passion for working with children

• Enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service
• Eligibility to work in the UK
