Chalk Education is recruiting for a 1:1 Teaching Assistant to work across the full primary age range, 4 – 11 years. Our school is a located in the Spondon area of Derby and has a welcoming, inclusive environment. The ideal candidate will feel comfortable working with children and delivering targeted interventions to support the progress of those who may have additional needs or require extra academic support.

Alongside the staff you will be responsible for safeguarding and protecting the welfare of children and young people.

The ideal candidate will have:

• experience working with primary aged children in a school setting
• expertise in supporting individuals on the Autistic Spectrum.
• knowledge of the National Curriculum specifically in regard to age related expectations
• passion to support and engage children with specific learning needs

• References confirming suitability for role
• Commitment to safeguarding
• Enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service
• Eligibility to work in the UK
