A vibrant two-form entry primary school located in Enfield, EN1, is seeking a dedicated Special Needs Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a Year 6 pupil with Challenging Behaviour and Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD). This full-time position starts ASAP and extends through the next academic year, ending in July 2026.
Job Description
We are looking for an energetic, creative, and motivational SEN teaching assistant who can inspire and support pupils in their care. The ideal candidate will have experience dealing with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and Challenging Behaviour, along with a solid understanding of the Key Stage 2 curriculum. You will work collaboratively with the staff to safeguard and protect the welfare of children and young people.
While Team Teach training is highly desirable, it is not essential. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about supporting students with challenging behaviour, offering a chance to be a positive role model and make a significant impact.
To be considered for this role, you will need:
- Experience with Challenging Behaviour
- Strong Behaviour Management Skills
- Team Teach training (highly desirable but not essential)
