1:1 Teaching Assistant – Special Educational Needs

Location: Toxteth, Liverpool (L8)
Contract: Full-time, Long-term
Pay: £90–£95 per day

Chalk Education is working in partnership with a welcoming and supportive school in Toxteth (L8) to recruit a dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant. This is a full-time, long-term position, supporting a child with Special Educational Needs (SEN) on a one-to-one basis.

The Role:

• Providing tailored 1:1 support to a pupil with SEN

• Supporting learning, engagement, and emotional wellbeing

• Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement individual support strategies

• Encouraging positive behaviour and inclusion within the classroom

The Ideal Candidate:

• Experience working with children with Special Educational Needs (desirable)

• A patient, nurturing, and resilient approach

• Strong communication and teamwork skills

• A genuine passion for supporting children’s learning and development
