Part-Time SEMH Primary Teacher – Childwall

Location: Childwall, Liverpool
Days: 3–4 days per week (part-time)

Chalk Education is working in partnership with a primary school in Childwall to recruit an experienced and resilient SEMH Primary Teacher to join their team on a part-time basis.

This role involves covering PPA across the school, working with pupils who present with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, including attachment and trauma-related difficulties. The children require a consistent, calm and confident adult who can build positive relationships while maintaining clear boundaries.

The Ideal Candidate Will:

• Be an experienced Primary Teacher with strong SEMH knowledge
• Have excellent behaviour management skills and remain calm under pressure
• Be confident working with pupils with attachment and trauma backgrounds
• Be flexible and adaptable, covering classes across the school
• Be able to commit to 3–4 days per week

Important Information:

• This is a very challenging role
• Not suitable for ECTs
• Experience in SEMH, alternative provision, or trauma-informed settings is highly desirable
