A forward-thinking secondary school in Nottingham is seeking a committed and resilient Behaviour Mentor to join their pastoral team. This role is ideal for someone passionate about supporting young people who face social, emotional, or behavioural challenges.
About the Role
As a Behaviour Mentor, you will:
- Work one-to-one with students to support behaviour regulation and emotional wellbeing.
- Deliver targeted interventions to help pupils develop positive behaviours, confidence, and resilience.
- Build strong, trusting relationships with students who require additional support.
- Collaborate with teachers, pastoral staff, and external agencies to ensure consistent behaviour strategies.
- Help maintain a calm, safe, and productive learning environment.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience working with young people, ideally in an SEMH, behaviour, youth work, or pastoral setting.
- A calm, patient, and proactive approach to challenging behaviour.
- Strong communication and de-escalation skills.
- The ability to act as a positive role model and mentor.
- A valid DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
