Learning Mentor – Mold

We are recruiting for a Learning Mentor who is looking to broaden their careers into Additional Learning Needs.

Job Description

As a Learning Mentor you will be working with students with a range of additional learning needs in small classrooms and often on a 1-1 basis. Our client is looking for a vibrant and dynamic candidate with an enhanced DBS on the update service. You will have a strong ability to build rapport and work effectively in challenging situations.

This role is working in a Secondary school in Flintshire, this is a fantastic school to work in, they offer excellent modern facilities and a friendly and welcoming team of supportive staff.

To be considered for this role you will need:

• Experience in de-escalation techniques
• Flexible and adaptable approach to work and deal with unpredictable challenges
• Creative approach to organising activities and engaging groups of children

To be considered for this role you will need:

• Experience and interest in sports
• Minimum of 3 months experience of working with children within the past 3 years
• Flexible and adaptable approach to work and deal with unpredictable challenges
• Creative approach to organising activities and engaging groups of children
• Be able to differentiate lessons for children with additional needs

Additional requirements:

• References confirming suitability for role
• Enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service or willing to apply
• EWC registration or willing to apply
• Eligibility to work in the UK
