Chalk Education has an exciting new job role for a full-time Welsh primary teaching assistant to support a child with additional learning needs in a Welsh medium mainstream school based in rural Conwy near Abergele. As a teaching assistant you will be assisting the individual with literacy, numeracy, and certain topics. Alongside the staff you will be responsible for safeguarding and protecting the welfare of children and young people. Candidates will be to be a car driver due to the rural location of the school.
Hours are Monday to Friday 8:45am-15:10pm. Pays £75 per day. Immediate start until Summer 2023 and may continue into September 2023.
To be considered for this role you will need:
- Fluent in Welsh
- A minimum of 3 months experience of working with children
- A car driver due to location
- Experienced of supporting children with additional needs
- Skills in behaviour management desirable
- Experience in Autism essential
Additional requirements:
- References confirming suitability for role
- Commitment to Safeguarding
- Enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service or willing to apply
- Registered with EWC or willing to apply
- Eligibility to work in the UK
