Teaching Assistant – Lewes, East Sussex
Pay Rate; £75 to £88 per day
Chalk Education are working with this charming primary school in Lewes, East Sussex, who are looking to recruit for a teaching assistant on a full time basis to support a pupil in Year 4, who presents with some learning needs.
This role is due to start with immediate effect, and would suit someone who is looking to explore their talents as a teaching assistant, by working with more of an SEN focus.
Job Description
As a teaching assistant in this school, you’ll be working closely with the class teacher, who will help and guide you. You’ll be required to work on a 1:1 basis with a year 4 pupil who shows signs of additional needs, so your role will be imperative to their development.
To be considered for this role you will need:
- At least 6 weeks experience of working with Children and Young People
- Experience working in an educational setting
- Good knowledge and understanding of a range of SEND
- Excellent behaviour management skills
- A flexible approach and positive attitude

o Enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service
