Chalk Education is currently recruiting for an (ALN) Additional Needs Teaching Assistant to support a year 6 male student with Autism and challenging behaviours. Applicants must have experience of managing behaviour and using de-escalation techniques. You will be supporting the student with numeracy, literacy, and other curriculum subjects. Alongside the staff you will be responsible for safeguarding and protecting the welfare of children and young people.
The hours are Monday to Friday 8:45am-3:15pm, Starts asap until July 2023. Location, near Buckley Flintshire.
To be considered for this role you will need:
- Experience of working with Autism
- Experience working with students up to Key Stage 2
- Behaviour Management, ideally trained in PRICE or Team Teach
- Have worked with children or young adults within the last 2 years with Complex Needs
Additional requirements:
- References confirming suitability for role
- Commitment to Safeguarding
- Enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service or willing to apply
- Registered with EWC or willing to apply
- Eligibility to work in the UK
