A unique specialist school nestled in the heart of the Surrey countryside, dedicated to supporting 70 students with social, emotional, and mental health needs is seeking an enthusiastic Sports Assistant to join the PE department. The school offers an inspiring and nurturing environment where students flourish academically and practically, gaining confidence and essential life skills to set them up for a bright and successful future.

In this role, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to inspire and support students through physical activities that promote their health and well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist PE teachers in planning and delivering engaging sports lessons and activities.
• Supervise students during sports activities, ensuring safety, inclusivity, and enjoyment.
• Organise school sports events and competitions, fostering team spirit and friendly competition.
• Maintain sports equipment and facilities, ensuring they are in good condition and ready for use.
• Encourage student participation, motivating them to enjoy physical activity and reach their potential.

Key Requirements:

• A passion for sports and physical education.
• Experience working with children or young people, especially those with SEMH needs, is desirable but not essential.
• Eligibility to work in the UK.
• A clean DBS certificate or a willingness to apply for one. We can support you with this!
