This vibrant school supports children and young people aged 3–19 who have Autism, as well as speech, language, and communication difficulties.

About the Role

• Position: SEN Learning Support Assistant
• Location: Camden, NW1
• Start Date: ASAP
• Duration: Full academic year (with the potential for extension)

In this role, you will:

• Support Secondary Students: Work closely with students on a 1:1 basis or in small groups, providing emotional and academic support.
• Collaborate with Staff: Assist class teachers and therapists in delivering tailored learning plans and maintaining a positive, inclusive environment.
• Manage Classroom Tasks: Contribute to setting up and tidying learning spaces and help with administrative duties.
• Safeguard and Protect: Actively ensure the well-being of children and young people, following safeguarding procedures and school policies.

What We’re Looking For

• Experienced in Supporting Autism: Comfortable working with children with ASD and a strong understanding of their needs.
• Skilled in Behaviour Management: Able to remain calm, patient, and consistent when handling challenging situations.
• Proficient in Literacy & Numeracy: Confidently support children in their academic progress, particularly in English and Maths.
• Enthusiastic & Caring: Demonstrate a passion for making a difference in the lives of children with special educational needs, showing empathy and resilience.

• Enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service
• Eligibility to work in the UK
