An Ofsted-rated “Outstanding” specialist school in Camden, NW1, is eager to welcome SEN Learning Support Assistants to join their team immediately for the rest of this academic year. This vibrant school supports children and young people aged 3–19 who have Autism, as well as speech, language, and communication difficulties.
About the Role
- Position: SEN Learning Support Assistant
- Location: Camden, NW1
- Start Date: ASAP
- Duration: Full academic year (with the potential for extension)
In this role, you will:
- Support Secondary Students: Work closely with students on a 1:1 basis or in small groups, providing emotional and academic support.
- Collaborate with Staff: Assist class teachers and therapists in delivering tailored learning plans and maintaining a positive, inclusive environment.
- Manage Classroom Tasks: Contribute to setting up and tidying learning spaces and help with administrative duties.
- Safeguard and Protect: Actively ensure the well-being of children and young people, following safeguarding procedures and school policies.
What We’re Looking For
- Experienced in Supporting Autism: Comfortable working with children with ASD and a strong understanding of their needs.
- Skilled in Behaviour Management: Able to remain calm, patient, and consistent when handling challenging situations.
- Proficient in Literacy & Numeracy: Confidently support children in their academic progress, particularly in English and Maths.
- Enthusiastic & Caring: Demonstrate a passion for making a difference in the lives of children with special educational needs, showing empathy and resilience.

- Enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service
- Eligibility to work in the UK
