Are you a passionate SEN Teacher with experience in Special Educational Needs settings — someone who thrives on making a real difference in young people’s lives? If so, I’d love to hear from you!
The Role
We are seeking an experienced SEN Teacher to join our team, who has experience of working within an SEN setting, with pupils who have a range of different needs. We would ideally be looking for a Teacher to join our team who has the knowledge and understanding of the EYFS framework, who can confidently implement this framework within a setting, to provide learning opportunities, to assess the pupils progress and keep a record of assessments.
The pupils need their day to be fun, engaging and individual for their needs. We believe having an SEN Teacher who can promote an EYFS focused provision would be highly beneficial to meet the developmental needs of the pupils attending this SEN school. All pupils attending this school are looked after children, meaning a teacher with experience of de-escalation, supporting non-verbal student, being away of trauma informed techniques is absolutely key to being an ideal Teacher for this setting and the pupils.
You will play a key role in planning and delivering engaging, developmentally appropriate sessions tailored to the needs of each learner. Putting new systems in place to assess, evaluate and document pupils work, progress and development will be an essential part of your role within this setting.
