Are you passionate about making a meaningful impact on the lives of young children with special educational needs? We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Support Assistant to join our vibrant primary school in Hackney.
About the Role: You will work within our specially designed sensory rooms, supporting small groups of 4 to 5 children alongside another experienced adult. Your role involves engaging the children in stimulating sensory activities using a carousel model, ensuring every child receives tailored attention and support.
You will also play a crucial part in helping children smoothly transition into the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), providing them with consistent support during playtimes to enhance their social and developmental growth.
Ideal Candidate:
- Patient, nurturing, and committed to supporting young children's development.
- Experienced or keen to work in sensory learning environments.
- Effective communicator, capable of working collaboratively with a team.
- Adaptable and sensitive to the varying needs of children with SEN.
