Pay Rate £80-£90 per day

Are you an experienced Primary Teaching Assistant who specialises in SEND? Do you have a passion for making a difference and contributing to the development of young people?

Chalk are looking for positive SEND Teaching Assistants to start ASAP. This is the ideal opportunity to join a welcoming SEN School in Berkshire.

Our client is an extremely beautiful special school with students from ages of 2 to 19 with a range of educational needs including pupils with moderate learning difficulties, severe learning difficulties with profound and multiple needs as well as pupils with Autism.

Working alongside a range of professionals, we endeavour to meet the individual needs of all our pupils. We offer a broad, balanced and vibrant curriculum, with high expectations for all pupils and staff. Strong links with the local community, European community, mainstream schools and colleges of further education further enrich the educational opportunities available to our pupils.

Job Description

This TA role will require you to work on a one-to-one basis and/or with small groups of pupils who need additional support and have a range of SEND. You will work closely with the class teacher to help students across a range of subjects and activities, helping them to develop both academically and socially. You will promote positive behaviour and ensure the young person has access to learning whilst also being involved in raising attainment for the pupil.

This friendly Primary School caters for pupils aged 2 to 11. The dedicated staff team aim to provide the best education, where all children and staff are valued within a happy environment; making this the perfect role for a developing Teaching Assistant looking for a new challenge.

To be considered for this TA role you will need:

• Level 2 or above TA qualification

• Experience working in a SEN School

• Good knowledge and understanding of a range of SEND

• Excellent behaviour management

• A flexible approach and positive attitude

Additional requirements:

• References confirming suitability for role

• Enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service

• Eligibility to work in the UK
