Chalk education are seeking a dedicated and passionate Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive school in Wigan.

Alongside the staff you will be responsible for safeguarding and protecting the welfare of children and young people.

About the Role

As a SEND HLTA, you will:

• Provide high-quality support to pupils with a range of special educational needs.
• Deliver small-group and 1:1 intervention.
• Support teaching and learning across the school, including occasional whole-class cover.
• Work closely with the SENCO and teaching staff to tailor support strategies.
• Help create an inclusive, engaging, and nurturing learning environment.

What We’re Looking For

• UK HLTA qualification (or equivalent experience).
• Strong understanding of SEND and effective support strategies.
• Full time availability
• UK experience with SEND
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

• Commitment to Safeguarding
• Enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service
• Eligibility to work in the UK
