£200 – £250 a day (Depending on Experience)

About the Role

A wonderful primary school located in the heart of Barnet, N3, is seeking an inspirational and dedicated SENDCO to join their Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and lead the way in driving inclusion and SEND support throughout the school.

This is a full-time position starting ASAP, with excellent potential to become permanent for the right candidate.

What We’re Looking For:

The successful candidate will possess:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • The National Award for SEND Coordination, or be on track to achieve it within three years
  • Hands-on experience working with children who have Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)
  • A deep understanding of the SEND Code of Practice
  • The ability to collaborate effectively with SLT, aiming for excellence in SEND provision
  • Leadership skills to guide, develop, and support staff working with SEND students
  • Expertise in working with a diverse range of pupils, including those with SEND, LAC, Pupil Premium, EAL, and More Able & Talented pupils
  • A strong belief in raising aspirations and maintaining high standards for all pupils' achievement and behaviour
  • A commitment to inclusive education, with the courage to embrace innovative and creative ways of working
  • Exceptional communication skills, enabling you to build strong relationships with staff, parents, and external agencies
  • Proven management and organisational abilities, with experience leading or managing others
  • A clear dedication to whole-school improvement, paired with excellent organisation and interpersonal skills to engage the wider community

Additional requirements:

  • References confirming suitability for role
  • Enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service
  • Eligibility to work in the UK
