Are you a Teaching Assistant keen to secure a full time position, working in a large secondary school in Eastbourne?  Have you got previous experience of supporting small groups of learners with some SEN requirements?

Chalk are recruiting for a large secondary academy in Eastbourne who are keen to appoint a resilient and dedicated teaching assistant with immediate effect.

Job Description

Our client school in Eastbourne is actively recruiting for a Teaching Assistant to join their SEN team on a long term/full time basis.  You’ll be working with pupils who require additional support both academically and pastorally, building strong relationships, and gaining their trust.

To be considered for this role you will need:

  • At least 6 weeks experience working with children and young people
  • Ideally have a degree of 2:1 or higher
  • Able to work as part of a strong SEN team, liasing with line managers effectively
  • Understanding working with SEND learners

Additional requirements:

  • References confirming suitability for role
  • Commitment to Safeguarding
  • Enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service
  • Eligibility to work in the UK
