An outstanding and well-resourced Secondary Special Needs School based in Haringey, N17, is seeking a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant. This is a full-time, long-term placement starting ASAP.

Job Description

We are looking for a nurturing and energetic SEND Teaching Assistant to support secondary-aged pupils (11–16 years) with ASD, SLD, and Complex Needs. Previous experience working with SEND is required. The ideal candidate will be open to providing personal care and passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people with special needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide one-on-one support and assistance to pupils with special needs
• Assist with educational activities and lessons tailored to each child’s needs
• Implement effective behavior management strategies
• Support pupils in developing social skills and communication abilities
• Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and parents to create individualized plans
• Monitor and document progress and behavior changes
• Ensure a safe and nurturing environment for all pupils

Requirements
