Chalk is pleased to be recruiting on behalf of a wonderful school based in Wirral. The position which is a long term placement is starting mid January. We are dedicated to help contribute towards an inclusive and supportive environment for all students.
Chalk are seeking a number of passionate and caring teaching assistants, specifically to support a pupils diagnosed with special educational needs.
As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing tailored support to enhance the learning and development of the pupil. You will work closely with the class teacher and other staff to create an engaging and accommodating classroom environment that meets the needs of all students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one support to pupils diagnosed with SEND, adapting strategies to suit their individual learning styles.
- Help create a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that promotes confidence and independence.
- Monitor and record pupil’s progress, sharing insights with the teacher and parents as needed.
- Support the development of social skills and emotional well-being through structured activities.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Experience working with children, particularly those with special educational needs, is preferred.
- A relevant qualification in education, child development, or special educational needs support is an advantage.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate and patient approach.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Commitment to promoting an inclusive and positive learning environment.
