Chalk are recruiting for this SEN Teaching Assistant to role to start asap in a school in Wigan - the post is Mon - Fri, 8.30-3.30pm on a long-term basis.

Job Description

This role will involve supporting pupils who display challenging behaviours/ASD, on a 1:1basis within the School . Experience and understanding of a range of SEND is helpful and knowledge of skills such as de-esculation beneficial and personal care

This role will suit a positive mentor who is resilient and flexible. The school provides excellent facilities and services. You will work closely with the class teacher assisting with lessons and activities while providing a happy and safe learning environment for the pupils

To be considered for this Behaviour Mentor role you will need:

· Experience supporting young people with SEMH/Challenging behaviour

· Ideal would be De-escalation / positive handling training

· A positive attitude and flexible approach

Additional requirements:

o References confirming suitability for role

o Enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service

o Eligibility to work in the UK
