Job Description
Chalk Education are recruiting for a teaching assistant to work in a special needs school in Littlehampton, West Sussex.
This school is a hive for providing education to learners aged 5 – 11 with complex learning needs. As a teaching assistant in this role, you’ll be working on a 1:1 basis with a pupil who presents with ASD and severe learning difficulties.
This is a temporary role, and due to extend through until July 2023, there may be an opportunity for this role to go permanent for the right applicant.
Start date is ASAP
To be considered you must have:
- At least 2 months experience of working with learning difficulties
- A positive attitude
- A hard-working mindset
- Be a team player
- Be able to liase with line managers and detail accurate reports
Additional requirements:
- References confirming suitability for role
- Commitment to Safeguarding
- Enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service
- Eligibility to work in the UK
