Are you passionate about supporting young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? Do you have experience as an Exam Invigilator and want to make a meaningful contribution to students’ academic success? If so, we want to hear from you!

The Role
We are seeking a dedicated SEN Learning Support Assistant who will also act as an Exam Invigilator as needed. In this role, you will:

  • Provide one-on-one and small-group support to students with a range of SEN, ensuring they can access the curriculum effectively.
  • Assist teaching staff with differentiated learning activities, targeted interventions, and classroom management.
  • Set up and oversee exams, ensuring compliance with all relevant procedures and regulations.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to implement appropriate strategies for each student’s individual needs.
  • Help maintain a safe and supportive school environment, both in and out of the classroom.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with SEN students to tailor learning methods and materials for their specific requirements.
  • Support exam administration, including organizing materials and enforcing exam conditions.
  • Monitor student progress and communicate updates to teachers and relevant stakeholders.
  • Facilitate an encouraging atmosphere where all learners feel valued, motivated, and ready to engage.

Requirements

  • Proven experience supporting students with SEN in a school setting.
  • Familiarity with exam invigilation guidelines and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students and staff.
  • A proactive, positive approach to helping learners overcome barriers to education.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet the evolving needs of the school.

  • Enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service
