An outstanding SEND school based in Haringey, N10, is looking for a SEND teacher to join their dedicated and experienced team permanently in September 2024.
Job Description
The school is a mixed school catering for pupils aged between 4 – 19 years old with Autism. Most pupils also have Autism, SLD, and additional physical and sensory disabilities.
The ideal SEND teacher will be a dedicated and creative educator with demonstrable SEND knowledge. Primary school teachers with a passion for SEND are welcome to apply. You should have an innovative and flexible approach to teaching. Alongside the staff, you will be responsible for safeguarding and protecting the welfare of children and young people.
The successful SEND teacher’s day-to-day role will include delivering creative and person-centred lessons to up to 8 learners in a pre-formal class.
The school is happy to consider ECTs for this role.

To be considered for this role you will need:
- Must have QTS
- Demonstrable knowledge of and a passion for SEND
- Makaton and PECS -not essential but highly desirable
- Experience working with Complex Needs and ASD

- Enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service
