Residential Support Workers looking to move into Education?

Pay Rate £11 - £13 per hour

Are you a positive Residential Support Worker who is experienced working in a care home for young people?

Chalk are looking for Residential Support Workers to come into schools and work with young people with Special Education Needs and Disabilities (SEND)

Job Description

You will be required to support young people aged 5 to 18 with various activities in the schools while helping them to develop life skills and social skills. You will work alongside a dynamic and supportive staff team to help create a positive and safe environment for all young people.

To be considered for this role you will need:

· Experience supporting young people within a care setting

· Excellent behaviour management

· Good understanding of safeguarding requirements.

· A positive attitude with a calm but firm approach

· NVQ level 3 in Childcare (beneficial)

· Team teach or similar de-escalation training (beneficial)

· Full UK driver's license

Additional requirements:

o References confirming suitability for role

o Enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service

o Eligibility to work in the UK
