Chalk Education is proud to be working with a specialist SEND school in Wavertree to recruit a passionate and committed Primary Teacher. This is a full-time position within a nurturing and highly supportive setting for pupils with visual impairments, many of whom have one or more additional needs.
The Role:
As a Primary Teacher within this specialist SEND provision, you will:

Plan and deliver creative, inclusive lessons tailored to the individual needs of pupils

Adapt teaching approaches and resources to support children with visual impairments

Support pupils with a range of additional needs, including complex learning and physical needs
-
Work closely with support staff, therapists, and external professionals
-
Monitor progress and contribute to EHCP targets

Create a safe, structured, and engaging learning environment
The Ideal Candidate:
-
Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
-
Has experience teaching in a primary setting (SEND experience is desirable but not essential)
-
Demonstrates a strong understanding of inclusive and adaptive teaching practices
-
Is patient, flexible, and committed to supporting pupils with complex needs
-
Is confident working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team

Holds (or is willing to obtain) an enhanced DBS on the update service
