A vibrant, “Good” three-form entry primary school in Beckton, E6, is looking for an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to provide dedicated support for two Year 4 pupils with Autism. This pivotal role involves helping them remain focused on learning activities and ensuring they thrive in a supportive classroom environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Offer both pastoral and academic assistance, working closely with teachers to safeguard and promote the pupils’ welfare.
- Keep the pupils on task and engaged, utilizing strong relationship-building skills.
- Elevate their literacy and numeracy skills through targeted interventions and encouragement.
Requirements:
- Proven experience supporting children with Autism (ASD)
- Familiarity with the Key Stage 2 curriculum
- Strong literacy and numeracy skills
- Genuine dedication to and passion for education
