A vibrant and welcoming one-form entry Primary School in Finchley, N3, is seeking a compassionate and energetic Special Needs Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for two pupils with varying SEN in Key Stage 2. This rewarding role begins ASAP and continues until the end of the academic year (July 2025).
Job Description
• Morning Sessions: Support a Year 4 pupil with Autism and ADHD.
• Afternoon Sessions: Assist a Year 5 pupil with challenging behaviour.
You will also work closely with the school staff to ensure safeguarding and the welfare of children and young people remain a priority.
To be considered for this role, you will need:
• Proven experience working with children with diverse needs, particularly ASD and challenging behaviours.
• The ability to tailor teaching strategies to suit individual learning styles and needs.
• Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with teachers, parents, and other professionals.
• Patience, empathy, and resilience when faced with challenging behaviours or situations.
• A proactive, creative approach to fostering a supportive and nurturing learning environment for the pupils' development.
