We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Pastoral Teaching Assistant to support students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs in the Knutsford area.

Role Details:

• Position: Pastoral Teaching Assistant – SEMH
• Location: Knutsford
• Pay Rate: £120 per day
• Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm
• Contract Type: Long-term temporary role

Key Responsibilities:

• Providing pastoral support to pupils with SEMH needs
• Supporting students who display challenging behaviours
• Building positive, trusting relationships to encourage engagement and progress
• Working closely with teaching staff and pastoral teams to implement behaviour and support strategies
• Helping to create a safe, structured, and supportive learning environment

Requirements:

• Proven experience working with challenging behaviours
• Previous pastoral experience is essential
• A calm, patient, and resilient approach
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
