Level 2 Teaching Assistant – SEND School (Wavertree, South Liverpool)

Chalk Education is seeking a dedicated and passionate Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive SEND school in the Wavertree area of South Liverpool.

About the Role:
In this rewarding position, you will support pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), helping them access learning, build confidence, and make progress in a nurturing environment. You will work closely with teachers, support staff, and specialist professionals to provide consistent, high-quality support.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supporting pupils with SEND on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
• Assisting the class teacher with lesson preparation and delivery
• Promoting positive behaviour and emotional regulation
• Helping to create a safe, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment
• Supporting personal care needs where required

Requirements:

• Minimum Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)
• Experience working with children with SEND (school-based or similar setting)
• Strong communication skills and a patient, caring approach
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• A current DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
