We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Social Sciences Teacher to work with one of a Secondary Academy in the Salford area from September 2025. This is a full-time, temporary position offers an exciting opportunity to inspire and educate students in subjects such as Sociology, Psychology, and Politics.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and high-quality lessons in Social Sciences across Key Stages 3 and 4.

• Develop and implement effective schemes of work and lesson plans.

• Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback.

• Contribute to the development of the Social Sciences curriculum.

• Participate in departmental meetings and school events.

• Support the pastoral care and well-being of students.

Person Specification

Essential:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.

• Degree in a relevant Social Sciences subject.

• Experience teaching Social Sciences at secondary level.

• Strong classroom management skills.

• Commitment to inclusive education and student development. 

Desirable:

• Experience in a similar teaching role within a secondary academy setting.

• Ability to contribute to extracurricular activities related to Social Sciences.

Alongside the staff you will be responsible for safeguarding and protecting the welfare of children and young people.
