Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) – Catholic Primary School in Liverpool
Part time - Mornings only (8.30am- 1pm)
Start date: Jan 2026 – ongoing (temp to perm contract available)
The role:
Chalk Education is seeking a dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a special educational needs and disabilities class in a mainstream primary school in Liverpool. This position offers an immediate interview with a view to start after Christmas.
The ideal candidate will have experience working with children with diverse needs, providing support in both individual and group settings. They will play a key role in creating an inclusive and engaging learning environment.
What You’ll Need to Succeed:
- Proven experience working within a mainstream classroom
- Experience supporting students in EYFS- Key Stages 2.
- Strong literacy and numeracy skills.
- A genuine passion for education and a dedicated approach to nurturing student growth and development.
- Good classroom management skills
- Confident leading a small SEN class & intervention groups
Additional requirements:
- References confirming suitability for role
- Commitment to Safeguarding
- Enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service
- Eligibility to work in the UK
