Float Teaching Assistant (Primary) – E17 Area
Full-Time | Immediate Start | £90–£110 per day
Are you a dedicated Teaching Assistant looking to make a real impact across all year groups? A wonderful three-form entry primary school in E17 is seeking a Float Teaching Assistant to start ASAP. In this unique role, you’ll work across EYFS through Key Stage 2, providing vital classroom support and targeted 1:1 assistance to pupils with Special Educational Needs.
The Role
- Varied Classroom Support: Move between different classes, assisting teachers with general classroom tasks, small group work, and interventions.
- 1:1 SEN Focus: Provide dedicated support to pupils with additional needs, ensuring they can access the curriculum and reach their full potential.
- Collaborative Approach: Work closely with class teachers, the SENCO, and support staff to deliver engaging, inclusive learning experiences.
- Progress Monitoring: Observe and report on student development, celebrating successes and identifying areas for further support.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience: Previous Teaching Assistant or school-based support experience highly desirable. Experience with SEN is a strong advantage.
- Adaptability: Comfortable working across different year groups (EYFS, KS1, KS2), quickly building rapport with pupils and staff.
- Communication Skills: Clear, confident, and proactive communication with children, colleagues, and parents.
- Positive Attitude: An enthusiastic, resourceful approach to helping children thrive in the classroom.
- Qualifications: Relevant Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualifications are beneficial, but not essential if you have solid, proven experience.
- Enhanced DBS: Must have, or be willing to obtain, an up-to-date DBS on the Update Service.
