Job Title: English Specialist Teacher (KS4 & KS5)
Pay: up to £200 a day
Location: Epping
Working Hours: 8:00am – 4:00pm, Monday to Friday
An independent specialist day school based in Epping, CM16, supporting young people aged 11–18 with Autism and co-occurring complex needs, are seeking an English Specialist Teacher to cover an absence, teaching a timetable that includes Functional Skills, GCSE English, and GCSE English Literature.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, deliver, and assess engaging English lessons for Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5, with a focus on Functional Skills, English GCSE, and English Literature GCSE.
- Support and inspire students aged 11–18 who have Autism and complex needs, tailoring lessons to meet individual EHCP requirements.
- Collaborate with the wider school team, ensuring a consistent, supportive environment for student progression.
- Maintain accurate records and assess student development in line with school policies and examination board requirements.
What You’ll Need to Succeed:
- QTS/QTLS is required.
- Proven experience teaching English at KS4/KS5 level, specifically Functional Skills and GCSE (including English Literature).
- Prior experience in a specialist school setting, working with young people with Autism and co-occurring complex needs.
- Must hold a Child and Adult DBS.
